BioCoat 1 is a transparent, ready-to-use coating that protects facades from physical and chemical damage. BioCoat 1 forms a permanent monomolecular layer inside the capillaries, without closing them completely, thus without changing the original appearance of the material.
Usage
BioCoat 1 is particularly suitable for wood, cement, roof tiles, limestone, sandstone, concrete, plaster, clay and siliceous bricks.
Typical applications for BioCoat 1 are surfaces such as:

Product Application
BioCoat 1 is supplied ready to use.
Depending on the substrate, BioCoat 1 can be applied with a brush on very rough materials or with a roller (reserved for small surfaces) or with a spray gun with a variable nozzle.
The water-repellent performance of the substrate depends on the amount applied to the surface.

Application Instructions
The product should only be applied by approved Coastal Coatings Partners. Application by any other party will void the product warranty.
Condition of the Substrate
Surfaces must be dry. After rain, wait at least 24 hours. Avoid cleaning with acidic or alkaline chemical detergents. Windows must be protected before applying the product.
Application
BioCoat 1.0 must be applied at an ambient temperature of at least + 5 °C and a relative humidity of 30%-80%. Apply the coating in dry conditions and never in the rain. Any errors can be remedied. Usually a single layer is sufficient for the performance. The average coverage is approx. 50 ml/m2, but this depends on the substrate.
During application, only small amounts should be decanted from the original container into the application container. Remains of unused BioCoat 1.0 should not be poured back from the application container to the original container.
Traces of water should also be avoided. If dirt appears during coating, they should be replaced to avoid dirt getting into the BioCoat 1.0 coating. If the solution in the application container hardens or settles, it should no longer be used. Solutions that are no longer usable should be disposed of properly. BioCoat 1.0 is finger dry after approximately one hour and has fully set after two days.
